Isn't it funny how little things always seem to pop up right after you've spent your last dime? For me it was a last minute bridal shower. I didn't have much time... I didn't have any money... but, I had to be there.

3) You could stay home... but, then you'll have several people wanting to know why you weren't there!

I could have called them Free gift baskets, or Free to Create gift baskets, but to be perfectly honest, I got the idea from the TV show FreeStyle.
I had been watching the show prior to getting the phone invitation and, since I didn't have any money to spend, I figured, "Why not?"
If you're not familiar with the show, then let me tell you this little bit...
FreeStyle is a home improvement/home decorating type show, hosted by Aaron Foster, that doesn't use a budget. None... Nada... Nothing! That's what makes it completely different from all the others. They use items that are already there at the home.
It's really facinating how the designers can come up with these awesome changes to a room without buying a single piece of furniture, paint, rugs, or artwork. Instead, they look through closets, cupboards, and drawers (with the homeowners permission) to find items to redecorate the chosen room with.
It seemed reasonable to conclude that the same principle could also be applied to gift baskets. Since I'm a gift basket design specialist (Yes, I really do get paid to create gift baskets!), it only seemed natural to apply what I knew with what "they" knew.
I started looking around my home gathering items I thought could be used for a gift basket... before I knew it I had come up with enough items to create 7 different gift baskets with 6 different themes. The ideas were swirling around in my head so fast that I had to write them down to keep track!
Then... I ran into a problem that would plague anyone, professionals and non-professionals alike! Since I wasn't at work I couldn't find enough "baskets" to hold the gifts! Hmm.... what to do?
